It has always been my dream to go to UVA, but I’ve recently gotten very interested in University of Michigan. My grandpa went there and I included it on my application.

Female, Virginia resident, very poor :frowning:
Planning to major in kinesiology or health science

GPA- 4.15 weighted
Class rank- 8/178
SAT-1210 combined, 680 reading and writing, 530 math, scored high on essay
5 AP Classes (Chemistry, US History, Language and Composition, Psychology, Government), 6 AP Tests (Others mentioned plus Literature)
My school doesn’t allow us to take AP classes until 11th grade btw, so I don’t have as many as I would like
Currently taking English 111/English 112 (College class)
All A’s, except for a B in algebra 1 in 7th grade and a B in AP US History in 11th grade

I definitely think my essays portrayed me well 10/10

Recommendations from my guidance counselor and AP Language and Composition/ ENG 111/112 Teacher, both were very good

You have good EC’s and good class rank. Depending on how rigorous your school is that can be a good GPA. I am also applying to U of M and have an unweighted 3.93 and a 1250 (M 680 ER 570). I feel as if both of our test scores are low. Best of luck getting in!

Yeah my test scores are definitely not where I would like them to be, however I am hoping test scores won’t play too big of a role in the overall application. Good luck to you too!
