Scores and GPA look fine to me. The 5 on the AP Spanish test is awesome although it’s not a determining factor in admissions, but it’s a bonus. The EC’s are good but nothing stands out to me as wow. And maybe that’s because this is CC and everyone sets the bar so high. However, I’d say you have a good chance if the essays really show who you are!
@grunterbaum1 i think you have a good to very good chance. Your SAT stellar, your gpa amd subject tests are great, and your accomplishments in music will probably set you apart. your involved in sport on top of everything else shows you are a well rounded person, which is something Penn values a lot. Also the fact that you are an under-represented minority from an underprivileged background will prob help a lot. Focus on your essays, amd especially research penn very well before writing the why Penn essay, and you will be fine! Are u applying ED or RD?
Ok good. Statistically speaking ED gives you a slightly better chance. ( but not as much as people think just by looking at the respective acceptance rates of RD and ED simply because during ED a lot of preference is given to legacies and also recruited athletes) still one has a slightly better chance during ED regardless
I think your chances at ED are pretty decent. Of course, Ivy admissions are always hard, but get some good recs and work hard on your essays and I think you have a shot.
