- I took 4 years of german and 3 years of debate (had to take speech to graduate) </p>

<p>Essays: Probably the best part of my app, essays are my thing
Teacher rec: not sure, didn't read - probably good. i dont think they were amazing tho
Counselor rec: amazing</p>

won a bunch of stuff, qualified for state 3 years in a row, first place at harvard, qualified for NFL and NCFL nationals 2 years in a row, first place in districts, competed varsity for 4 years, first place at nearly every local junior year, competed at Berkeley nat tournament, etc etc. My essays really stress how important debate is to me</p>

<p>Your school record seems solid. I didn’t like your weighted GPA at first, but seeing that you have a good class rank I’m not too concernced about it. </p>

<p>Your ACT’s are good but I don’t think there too special for some of the schools you’re applying to. </p>

<p>Your EC’s are good all-around, you have a good mix of activites but it’s also apparent you’ve had some commitment in all of them. </p>

<p>If your essays and recommendations are as good as you say that part of your ap will be great.</p>

<p>Dont know all those Schools well, but none of them are out of your league. You stand a chance at all of them… Would guess into two thirds? at this level it can be a lottery though… Chance me pls!</p>

<p>I agree with what agc0319 stated. You have a really good chance at matching into a lot of these schools, but ones like Northwestern and Cornell are a reach.</p>

<p>Speaking of which, it might help us if you could give us some of the scores you got on the AP exams. I think you have a better chance at some of the higher reaches if you got 4s or 5s on most of your exams. </p>

<p>I got 2 3s and 2 4s on the ones i have taken…so not so great. I didn’t know AP exam scores did anything for admissions… ?</p>

<p>you have great leadership, and decent test scores. You seem to be passionate about debate. I think you have a great shot at all of those schools, except Duke, Vanderbilt, Emory, and Rice may be low reaches.</p>
