I'm about to be super annoying with a chance me thread but, my mom has been nagging me about the schools I applied to and now she's got me all worried. Firstly though, I'll give you a little bit of a background because that's always helpful.

I graduated high school in 2007. My high school statistics were decent, certainly not great. I believe I graduated with a 3.3 GPA. However, I've been part of my schools special education program since about 2nd grade. I won't go into complaining about that but, in short, I have a learning disability that impacted my success in general education courses. Generally speaking, I attended normal classes with the exception of a few where I was in a room with 4 other kids, most of which had some developmental disorder. Anyways, I was waived the standard graduation requirements which hindered my chances at any university except community college. I enrolled in august of 2007 and attempted to make the most of what I was given. However, since I'd spent the past 4 years being taught like I was unable to learn beyond basic math and coloring, I was unprepared for actual academic work. As a result my GPA suffered and I believed I got a C,D, and an F. My GPA at that point was about a 2.0. Now, lets head on to 2008. I only took 2 classes that year..one I withdrew from (it was the F I was trying to retake) the other was Keyboarding (I got an A). Lets fast-forward to 2010. I had chosen to take 2009 off to just get things in order. I was tired of being a wreck and I knew I could do this. I finished the spring of 2010 with a 3.8 GPA. I the enrolled for Fall 2010 and retook my previous F and got an A. I also got and A in my summer classes, as well as the rest of the classes for my fall semester. I ended that with a 3.8 as well. Now, here in the spring of 2011, I've managed to raise my GPA to a 3.16. I'm taking 12 credits this semester, all of which I plan to get A's or B's in. If that's the case I'll have a 3.4 by the end of this semester (roughly). There's my awesome success story so here comes my chance request.

I applied to 4 schools, 3 of which I've already been accepted to. I am interested in knowing if I have a chance of being accepted to Indiana University Bloomington. I spoke to an admissions advisor on a visit and she explained to me that a competitive applicant would have a 2.75 GPA or above. I'm interested in seeing what you all think. Their requirements specifically say that they enjoy increasing grade trends and the most previous term GPA's. It's not the end of the world if I don't get in, I have 3 other great options I could choose to go to, IU was just my fun pick. I was hoping to enroll in a school that had a life beyond academics, school spirit, you know..the things that make college fun.

As for my question, is there a certain date you have to respond to admission requests? I've not heard from IU yet and I don't want to send any orientation money without having my full list of schools to choose from.
