I am going to be a sophomore in college this fall, at a small school on the West Coast that is ranked just under 100 on US News. I'm pretty desperate to transfer, preferably to Reed, Mt Holyoke or Smith. I'll be transferring as a junior, so I believe that my high school grades/ standardized test scores won't count against me that much--my weighted high school GPA was a 3.89, with plenty of EC's and AP's.
I'm a politics and sociology major and have so far taken a range of classes in the social sciences and the humanities. My GPA currently is a 3.75, and I hope to maintain that (if not improve it) over the coming year. I'm in the philosophy and sociology club at my school and I think I can get pretty good recommendations. I've also interviewed with Mt Holyoke and Reed already, and both went very, very well. With this information, can anyone who's been accepted as a transfer to any of these schools give me some insight? Thanks!
