Chance me [Transfer] UNC/University of Miami

Alright so here it is. I went to the University of Arizona last year for my freshman year. I took 23 credits, 13 the first semester to get used to the school, then unfortunately 10 the next semester because I was a pledge. I ended the first semester with a 3.5, and the second semester with a 3.23. So my GPA my freshman year was a 3.348. I transferred and am now going to a community college. I am taking 15 credits this semester. I assume that I will do better, and get at least a 3.5+ both semesters. I am going to be at 38 credits after this semester, which is 7 short of being on target to graduate on time. I think I am going to take two classes during winter break to catchup. But anyway, I plan on transferring to the University of Miami but I’m not sure If I will get in. I am out of state, I got a 23 on the ACT in high school which I only took once and had something like an 82 overall in high school.

Please let me know what you think, I really appreciate the help. Also if you could list other good academic schools you believe I could get into that would be really appreciated. I’m working my tail off to get a 4.0 this semester.

Thank you

As far as I know, you do not need to submit your ACT or SAT scores once you have 30 credits. But I think you have a chance, as long as you keep up your gpa (their average accepted is 3.4 ) and extracurricular activities. (I actually do not know if extracurricular activities such as community service hours and etc. matter since you’re applying as a transfer but i think if you have a part time job, or involved in student government that could also play a role in their decision).

I am also applying to University of Miami as a transfer for spring 2016, so hopefully I can let you know more about the process if I get in!

That would be awesome if you could! U of Miami seems like a great school
