I’m a junior and my UC GPA Is 3.97. Can someone give me my chances of getting into UCI, UCD, UCSB, and UCSC. Also is it too late to start doing community service and extracurriculars?
Without test scores, I can’t chance you. But if you’re from California, your GPA looks very competitive. Doing extracurriculars throughout high school tends to look better, but it isn’t too late to start community service.
My sat score is 1950 and I’m going to take the SAT test for Math II and U.S. History
Intended major?
Chancing for the UC’s has become increasingly difficult since GPA/Test scores are only part of the application review. EC’s and essays will be an important of your application so just having a competitive GPA and test scores is not enough.
Take a look at some of UC decision threads for this year and you will see UC GPA’s of 4.2+ and SAT/ACT scores of 2200+/32+ either getting waitlisted or rejected from UCI/UCD and UCSB. My advice is to do your best, apply broadly, do not have a “dream school” and hopefully you will several options in the end.
Good Luck.
Your SAT is too low. If you can bring that up about 200 points, you’re much more competitive.
