**My favorite extra activity I have done (not sure if its an EC) is a social media project I created anonymously to serve as a base for students in my (highly competitive) school to compliment people they were afraid to compliment in real life. It was a huge hit and gained over 100 followers in one day, and 100+ compliments were posted. Wrote a couple of my essays on this as well.
Service: Haven’t totaled this yet, but i would approximate ~70 hours
Rec letters: One from English teacher, one from Calc teacher. 9 and 7 respectively.
I know my GPA isn’t great and I definitely know this is a weak point in my application. Also my affluence can’t help much either, lol. I’m also applying to Providence, William and Mary, and Northeastern.
Thank you!
