(Since our school is quite small, there aren't that many clubs).

Personally, I find my academic performance to be lacking, since there are no APs in Taiwan, but I hope that my grades and the intense curricula our school employs will make up a bit for that. I don't really know if my ECs are enough. Please let me know how I stack up. Thank you!

You seem to have a fantastic profile…

However, your strong suits are all with the SATs. Unfortunately, Canadian schools don’t require the SATs (but you can still submit them). What system are you doing in Taiwan?? IB? A levels??

Your extra curriculars are really awesome too. I was wondering what program you were interested in?

Other than that, I think you have a really good chance at UT… you probably will get in :)

we don’t have IBs or A levels here in Taiwan. Every high school student can choose between three fields: Field 1: humanities, Field 2: engineering, and Field 3:medical. Each field has specific courses, although in Taiwan Field 2 and Field 3 aren’t too different, except Field 3 has extra biology courses. Students in the same group have the same curricula (which basically means a lot of Fs for some students).
I’m interested in the engineering program, and will probably apply for Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Bioengineering.

UofT only has chemical engineering. However you can specialize in environmental or bioengineering within mechanical engineering and i think electrical engineering has similar specializations.

If your really interested in bioengineering be sure to check out guelph university they have a great bioengineering program.

Waterloo has an environmental engineering program.

You should be fine. Uoft accepts quite a few international students just keep decent grades and u should be able to get in. Good luck!

thanks for the advice =) =)
