-I've been writing for my towns paper for 2 1/2 years (will continue through junior year) as a regular columnist (totally volunteer work. I was only paid for one article)
-I was an intern at UC Berkeley's newspaper this summer as a general assignment reporter. I was one of two interns selected
-I wrote for my county's newspaper last year/was selected to be on a board of high school journalists for that paper
-I'm editor in chief of my high schools newspaper
-I've been coaching youth soccer for three years and I'm a division coordinator
-I've been serving as a youth court advocate for minors who commit petty crimes for the past two, which means I work with a jury of other students to determine the proper sanctions for the minor
-I play varsity lacrosse, but I had to sit out almost the whole season last year because I needed surgery on both of my ankles.
- I tutor French

I'm Caucasian and Jewish if that makes a difference :)

Let me know what you think! I'm definitely applying to the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern, but Georgetown, Pomona College, and Amherst College are definitely my dream schools :) If I get my test scores up and maintain my grades this year, is it possible? THANKS!!!

Northwestern- High Reach
Georgetown- High Reach
Pomona-High Reach
Amherst-Mid-High Reach
UC Berkeley- Low Reach bc of internship (if not, mid-high reach)
UCSD-high match
Are you in state for the UCs? What did you receive on the AP French test? What is your class rank? What kind of school do you go to? Are you first generation? There are many other factors, but getting over a 1400 out of 1600 would really help…testing scores are holding you back from getting into a great school…
