I'm a freshman at Stony Brook working on my BA in economics, I want to transfer to either NYU or Fordham University for my sophomore year due to commuting concerns, and the fact that these two schools are much better than Stony Brook when it comes to humanities like Economics. My cumulative GPA in HS was a 3.45 and my highest SAT score was a 1660 (But I have an excellent list of extracurriculars during high school, including 1,000 hours of volunteer work, a third of it abroad, varsity sports, numerous fundraisers, and political campaigning). I failed to implement my self in HS, but I have worked much harder in college and I'm confident of having a 3.6+ GPA in my freshman year. I am currently interning as an advisor at the United Nations, and I also attended this years General Assembly Sessions. What are my chances at successfully transfering to either of these schools? Will they heavily weigh my HS statistics? How heavily Will my position at the UN impact my chances of admission? Please help!!
