Hello, I am a sophomore. Even though I have awhile till college, I still love looking into colleges. At the moment (it chances every five seconds), I’m really interested in USC for many reasons. I was just wondering with the stats I have, if I had any chance whatsoever. Thanks!
GPA: 3.7
PSAT: 1300/1500
All A’s in my French, Latin, English, and Social Studies classes, all B+'s in math, and B’s in science except physics which was a C+ (how much does this hurt me?)
I am really interested in majoring in French. Because I have good grades in my language/humanities classes, I feel like that will help be because that is what I want to major in. Also, does anyone know if French is a popular major there? That could help
EC’s:
*Competitve swimmer since 6th grade, my club team and varsity for high school. I will definitely be captain senior year. This sport is very big to me.
*I’m in Model UN. This club is something I am very dedicated to and I believe I would be able to write a good essay about how this has helped me with many things in life. If I got to go to USC, I would participate in that club since they have it there. (Idk if that helps). Along with this, I have traveled to many Ivy League conferences.
*One other small thing is I am president of French club and will continue doing this, as well as being president.
Any feedback would be great. I know this is a selective school, and I might not have all the credentials but I am working a lot on improving. I still have to take the SAT’s, and by getting a good grade, that could help a lot. Along with that, I have a science tutor now and showing an upward trend would probably be good.
