Hi!

I am officially done with college applications (thank God). And now all I can do is think about these last few acceptance packets.

I’ve applied to:
-UNCG (Accepted)
-NCCU(Accepted)
-UNCC(Still waiting >.<)
-NCSU(STILL WAITING)

Do you guys think I will get in???

-3.2 UW
-3.5 W
1150 SAT (610 R, 490 M) (I’m really really bad at math and standardized testing is not my forte…at all)
-Started my schools Multicultural Club/ President
-Black Student Union
-UNICEF Club
-French Club
-Photography Club

  • I have a job at a local restaurant ( worked there from sophomore year- now)
  • I started an online clothing business and create my own designs, cut and sew/ Ship out orders etc.
  • Staff and Clubs Editor on my school’s yearbook.

(i don’t know if this helps???)

I’m a female of West African descent and I pretty much centered my essay around my experiences with growing up and the differences/struggles that I went through (but not entirely)

For UNCC, you’re in the middle 50% for GPA (3.2-3.7 UW) and test scores (1130-1280). While you’re on the lower end, I would imagine that your extracurricular activities and essays will give you a boost in the admissions process. As for NC State, you’re below the middle 50% for GPA (3.57-3.91 UW) and test scores (1240-1370). You’ll definitely need help from their holistic admissions process to be accepted, but don’t give up hope! Good luck.

Did you apply regular decision for UNCC because my son heard from them the first of December?

My application w sat scores+transcripts were all received on Dec. 18th. So I guess I applied late? I believe the early action deadline was Nov. 1st

But I have friends who submitted their applications around the same time as me and have already heard back from them :frowning:
