My background:
I’m Hispanic and my parents both immigrated from South America to the US. Mom has a master’s degree while my dad has a high school degree. (We are considered middle class where I live) I go part-time to a private school for science and math but I am primarily homeschooled.

ECs:
Musicals
Piano for about 14 years (I have played in many competitions in the past 3 years)
Praise Team
Environmental Workshop Leader
Sunday School Teacher ( I go to a bilingual church and sometimes I also help kids learn English)
I’m going to be tutoring Math next year (already signed up and ready to start tutoring in September)
I’m in charge of the Science and Technology column in my school’s “magazine” or paper

Awards:
Not too many yet, but out of my entire class only one person is chosen for the Science Award and I won freshman year.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention I also will be doing fencing and participating a debate team that was just started in my private school.
