applying for repeat 10

I do believe my application had some great hooks but my academics are just okay. I feel a lot of applicants for BS are in the top 10% at their schools but I am just a normal student, nothing special, I do my work try my best.

I hope this is enough info, I know I can’t really change my application seeing as decisions are a week away, but I am just wondering to see what people think :slight_smile:

I think you are a competitive student and will likely get some acceptances. You have a great mix of schools and it seems like you are well rounded. If you need substantial FA it might be a bit harder as then I think you need to be sort of a superstar on at least one dimension (sports, academics, extracurricular, URM, etc.). It might also help if you have significant experience that shows your independence and ability to be a self-starter.

I don’t know much about the other schools, but you seem like you have a pretty good chance at Taft. I know that the AO’s love hearing about volunteering and community service, and our lax team is very good so I hope you mentioned that too.

As a varsity lacrosse player who is applying as a repeat 10th grader with a strong SSAT score, your chances are very good to excellent.

@ceruleanistic i actually interviewed with the lax coach! super nice :)))

just wondering, boys or girls lax?

@ceruleanistic girls

ahhhhh

my roommate is a potential tri varsity athlete in the midst of her lacrosse tryout. I’ve met the coach myself, and you’re right she’s so sweet!

If you have any questions about lacrosse or any other stuff at Taft, just let me know or PM me or something, I love questions! Good luck!
