I realize that plenty of people post these "chance me" threads, but I'm desperate. I want Wellesley more than anything right now, but plenty of times I doubt my ability to get accepted. Think you can help?

....I'm rather worried. I'm a strong, passionate student and an excellent writer, but I'm just afraid that my stats aren't enough to compete. Help??

Your GPA, class rank and clearly communicated passion for Wellesley suggest that you will receive strong consideration for admission. A well written application supported by strong teacher recommendations will be necessary due to your moderate SAT I scores. If waitlisted or denied, ask if there is a summer program at Wellesley which you can attend; Wellesley likes this as it shows a strong desire to attend while increasing your knowledge of both the subject matter being studied and of Wellesley. Good luck! P.S. Also try to get a recommendation from a Wellesley alum in your area.

I think you have pretty good chances. One of the most amazing things about the Wellesley admissions team is that they really examine the applicant as a whole. Your gpa is lovely, and you have a great class rank, and some cool extracurriculars.

If you haven't done an interview, I think you have a teensy bit of time left to schedule one, I know I did mine in January, but I could be wrong.

I'm a current Wellesley student, so if you have any questions, feel free to PM me!

You have no idea how much better you guys have made me feel... I'm still a bit worried, but I'm glad there is someone out there other than my guidance counselor to reassure me :P

I can't say anything about your chances, but at this point after submitting your application, there really isn't anything you can do if you've turned in all your credentials. Unfortunately, it's just a waiting game!

Keep in mind that things you didn't mention (your essay, guidance and teacher recs, the rigor of your high school courses) play a big part in your application review.
