Alright guys this isn't going to be pretty but i need to know. I'm going to apply at Boston University and Boston College. What are my chances?

Hispanic Male
Sophomore at Suffolk Community College
GPA is a 3.2
I got one F on my GPA

SAT Critical Reading 370
Math 450
Writing 410

I was a mess until last year. In High Scool i was a B student.
Is there any chance that i can get in?
If not besides raising my grades, what else can i do?

I don't know about BU, but BC has a transfer acceptance rate of under 10% and its very, very hard to transfer into. With a low GPA and low SAT scores, your prospects don't look high.

No Chance... sorry, usually i am optamistic about it but this time i can't give you a shot

I applied to BC last year

Holy Cross College

GPA : 3.89 - B in physics and an A- in Political, theory 34 total credits
ACT : 27
SAT : 1950 (low i know)
HS: B -> B+ ; lots of ec - recruited out of HS for rowing

recommendations from both teachers and a Cardinal.

had legacy: my dad and a great uncle was the coach of one of their national championship teams.

i got denied so... unless you really can write a compelling essay... your chances are dismal.

no i left.. too small, and a little bit pricey. Although ironic b/c i want to go to ND but still i have my personal reasons for leaving and preferring nd

Sorry to be harsh but unless the admissions offer is highly intoxicated, you won't get in to Boston College, Boston University could be pulled off with a brave little toaster type miracle.

Had lots of other ec's. this is just a condensed list"

Thought i had a god shot but, as it says above... 10% acceptance rate. They were my backup to ND

Your SATs and GPA clearly indicate that your current school is challenging enough and that you simply will not be able to sustain the workload at BC or BU.

I got into Notre Dame and Holy Cross and picked Holy Cross because I did not want to go to school in South Bend. I liked being in the Boston metropolitan area.
