Chance me!

I'm a bit nervous I won't even be competitive, but chance me anyways!

Background:
-White Male from small town, Texas.
-3.93 Unweighted GPA
-2200 on SAT
-Ranked 12 out of 650

EC's:
-National Honors Society
-BETA Club
-Mock Legislature (won awards here)
-Newspaper and Yearbook Staff for one year
-Baseball (played all my life competitively, played for school first two years)
-President of Philosophy Club
-Mu Alpha Theta (Math Honor's Society)
-Academic Decathlon

Do I stand a chance?

Nope, you’re doomed for all eternity.

Competitive? Yes. Likely to get in? Not unless you have some killer essays, and even then probably not, considering the 7% acceptance rate.

To tell you the truth, your ECs are not really impressive when compared to the other applicants’

Something that will hurt you is a lack of leadership positions apart from the Philosophy Club deal. Something that will help you is making sure you have good essays, so starting writing them now and stop posting chance threads.

Maybe you could tell us more about the classes you take, or the projected sat score/sat score…

But I agree that at the moment Harvard may be a reach for you. But still a lot of time to prepare!

Never mind about SAT - sorry for my careless mistake
