<p>so i’m going to be a senior this year and Davis is realllyyy high on my list.</p>

<p>I’m half asian/half white. female. pretty competitive school I guess…?</p>

<p>my gpa:
unweighted-3.97
weighted-4.36 </p>

<p>test scores (yeah, uhh this really isn’t my strong suit. i’m just not good at taking tests or something?):
act: 27
sat IIs: lit 630 and history 620.</p>

<p>for my course workload, i took pretty much every honors class available.
annd i took AP euro (3) my soph year and AP lang(5) my junior year
and this year i’m taking ap calc, psych, lit and gov.
EC’s.
i did piano for 8 years.
winterguard for 1 year.
band for 3 years (section leader, i’ve done a few honor bands here and there)
journalism for 2 years (i’m going to be an editor for my paper this year)
and i’m currently on the academic decathlon team.
this really isn’t an EC or anything but I was also involved in this program at my school that tutors kids on campus for free.</p>

<p>volunteering
I volunteer at an interpretive center. hoping to have 100 hours by the time i apply for colleges. i’m not sure how many hours i have currently, but i’ve been volunteering over the summer/earlier this year.</p>

<p>Are in a California resident? If you are in-state then you should be fine, but try to increase that ACT score to increase your chances. Also, you should give the SAT Reasoning Test a shot :slight_smile:

i’m in a few clubs too. gonna be president this year.</p>

<p>UCR eh? Tell your friend congrats. Getting into any UC is definitely a challenging feat.</p>

<p>and I’m not taking the SAT I’s.</p>
