Chance meet upper classmen?

From my understanding, Brandeis keeps all the first year students together by providing them the same dorm buildings and such.
I think that’s a great idea, but I also was wondering if there are many opportunities to meet upperclassmen at all…

I hope current Brandeis students would respond please.
thank you :D

Many if not most colleges and universities have separate freshman housing. The reason is to enable all freshmen, all of whom are new, and most of whom do not know their fellow students, to meet and bond as a group in the beginning. Upperclassmen can easily be met through classes, which may include some sophs and juniors, through clubs, sports and other activities, religious services and the like. Brandeis is a small school and there is a lot of mixing of students of different classes.

You definitely meet upperclassmen in clubs, in class, if you have a job on campus and your CA will be an older student. I know a good number of upperclass students as a sophomore.

on the freshmen halls, some sophomores live in singles, so you have direct contact that way.

you absolutely will meet upperclassmen through your classes and clubs...

thank you very much!
