<p>I am junior computer science student at TAMU. I am currently considering to pursue a Master of Engineering in computer science. I have about a 3.95 GPA and planning to take my GRE in a few month. I currently do not have an research experience or strong letters of recommendation. Suppose that I do good on my GRE, what are my chances to get into a "prestigious" grad school such as Berkeley, MIT, or Stanford?</p>

<p>How much research experience impact my admission for MEng? Is MEng easier to get into that MS? </p>

<p>Stanford highly values research experience along with the others (but no as much). Unfortunately schools want more than your very impressive stats so if you can get some experience then should be set with a decent score on the gre </p>
