<h2>Cornell (how much of a reach?)</h2>

<p>GPA: 90 unweighted. (3.6ish, i think)</p>

<p>courseload: honors english and history throughout highschool, honors science fresh, soph year. never took honors math. never took ap's until senior year (although not many ap's are offered at my school). </p>

<p>senior yr: 2 APs. history, physch (or econ) and abunch of electives. </p>

<p>significant upward trend gng from A's, B's, and even two C's in freshman year to Alot of A's and some B's in soph year to nearly all A's in junior year. </p>

<p>SAT:</p>

<p>690CR, 680M, 800W</p>

<p>SAT2history:700</p>

<p>EC's (one of my biggest hooks) great(model gvrmnt, various publications,debate,political action team, business club, etc.) with lots of leaderhship
and did internship, held a job, ran some fundraisers, etc.</p>

<p>I don’t know all of those schools, but of the ones I do:
Emory-50/50
CMU-same
Rutgers-Virtually 100 for regular, probably a good chance for honors too
NYU-Very good chance
Chicago-This one is going to be tough, but you’d have a shot
Cornell-In between CM and Chicago. Can’t promise anything, but you are competitive</p>

<p>If anything, I’d definitely work on the math section of SAT. Everything else is going to be fine most likely.</p>

<p>You should specify which school in CMU you want to apply to. </p>

<p>Also, keep in mind that some schools may have sat II requirements. CIT for example requires Math I or Math II, AND Physics or Chemistry.</p>
