^nothing there gets you rejected and nothing gets you in, the gpa might get you in if you go to a top school, but the activities look poorly pursued, the absence of achievement and leadership is surprising. seems like you just enrolled in ECs and showed up (or didn’t even) for meetings, this will hurt, i don’t think chances are high, but you might make it if you’re pretty special outside school as a person.

^you’re added description doesn’t change much, it sort of reinforces what i’ve said about doing too little in too much. but you do have a chance, a small one.

Well, agree to disagree about my ecs. Anyways, I figured I have a small chance at Columbia. Perhaps, dare I say it on this board, my chances will be greater at…NYU.

You know, I would feel the worst if I didn’t apply and then had to live with wondering if I could’ve ever gotten in. You’ve only got $70 to lose, and your stats look pretty good, so I’d say go for it. :)

Nothing really in your EC’s sticks out or is very passionate, except maybe the one when you made your own website. The rest are just typical EC’s. Also, your grades aren’t as competitive. You’ll have the chance of an average applicant to COlumbia.

Ask yourself the question, “Is it really worth shop-lifting Macy’s for a black outfit, then robbing a gun store with a box-cutter, then robbing a bank for $70 with a gun?”
