chance + sending SAT question

hi everyone, I know that chance threads aren’t for guarantees of acc/rejection and that we don’t know until we try, etc but I want to know what general chance I’d have anyway

applying to CAS!

my UW GPA is 3.97 and weighted is 4.33
ACT is 35 composite (35eng,35math,34reading,36science)
new SAT is 1550 (800math,750eng,18/24essay)
SAT math: 800
SAT Chinese: 750
school doesn’t do class ranks but I’m estimating about top 20/500

my common app essay I’d say is pretty good but supplement is meh. I think one of my teacher recs will be really good since she really likes me and seems like someone who knows how to be really effective in writing. my other teacher and counselor Rec are probably generic (since I go to a kind of big school)

I do have ECs but they’re a little generic (flute section leader, culture club VP, volunteer tutor, etc)

Anyway, from reading other threads I get the impression that you don’t have to send every single score. is this true? if it is true, should I send my new sat score and sat Chinese score, since they’re not that great?

Your new SAT score is pretty impressive, but it doesn’t add anything to your application- just restates that you’re very strong academically. Also, if you come from background where Chinese is spoken regularly (eg. you’re from China, etc.), then your SAT2 score is quite irrelevant. On the other hand, if not, definitely send it in, a 750 on SAT2 is very good.
