Chance to a few different schools (BC, Indiana, villanova, Baruch, ucla)

<p>Hi, I want to start out by saying that i just started junior year in high school at one of the better public schools in NYS. My career that i would eventually like to get into is a investment banker. As many of you probably know becoming a investment banker is a extremely hard career path to get into and without an education from a ivy league or other top schools it is very hard. But not impossible with the right work ethic.
Another thing i want to touch on is the fact that i put almost no effort into my freshmen year and it showed. I was in all regular classes and i ended up with a 83.2% average overall. That was just a terrible year that will haunt me for my whole life, i simply did not apply my self because i was stupid and i thought that everything i wanted would all fall into place one day like magic.
In sophomore year though i brought up my average to a 88% in a AP course and 2 honors courses which is a extreme improvement considering i went from a very easy schedule to a decently rigorous schedule and i increased by 5 points. In my junior year i am now taking 4 AP classes, 1 college level class as well as a regular class and i am hoping to come out with at least a 90% average.I will keep the trend going in senior year as i will probably be taking at least 2 AP and all honors or college level courses.
I want everyone to say whatever they feel i should do to increase my chances at all the colleges i have listed. </p>

<p>I am currently looking at:
Indiana
Baruch
ucla
notre dame
Boston college
villanova
Lehigh
Rutgers
Suny Binghamton
Ut austin
ucla </p>

<p>My high reach schools that i would love to go to but chances are low are:
Michigan
NYU stern
georgetown
emory</p>

<p>I am only just starting junior year so i don't know too much about sat or act.
I did take a PSAT in the summer and i got a 168 so i guess in theory the equivalent of about a 1680 but i also have to factor in that i didn't prepare at all, it was in the middle of the summer at 6PM and i wasn't focusing all that hard.
So I'm hoping for about a 1940-2100 when i take the SAT for real in may and probably september.</p>

<p>My GPA at the moment is about a 3.1 UW and its a 3.5 Weighted. But i hope to get it up to around a 3.4 or 3.5 UW and close to a 3.9 or 4.0 weighted by the end of this year. ( the reason it is so low is because of my terrible freshmen year)</p>

<p>Junior courseload:
AP stats
AP chemistry (taking the sat2)
AP us history (taking the sat2)
AP literature
College italian
Regular algebra 2 and trig </p>

<p>Sophmore courseload:
AP enviromental science (I scored a 4 on the AP)
Honors global 10
Honors english10
Regular geometry 10
Italian 3 (no honors italian is offered besides college)</p>

<p>Freshman courseload:
All regular classes :(</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
Lacrosse team(freshmen and sophomore year)
Football team (freshmen and sophomore year)
Italian club-( sophomore-senior year)
economics club(junior-senior year)
A few other clubs and organizations.</p>

<p>Volunteer:
I already have around 60 hours but looking to get around 150-200 hours </p>

<p>Job experience:
I worked heavily in the summer at a local department store and work lightly during the school year there.
I also coached a youth basketball team for community service in sophomore year and i will be doing it again this year.
Awards: (Going to increase)
I was involved in a envirothon in which my school competed against other schools in the area on environmental issues. We placed among the top 10 out of like 30 schools. </p>

<p>****All of these stats are only from my freshman/ sophomore year and they will do nothing but improve over the next year.
i know it will be a bit hard to judge because not everything is there but any help is greatly appreciated.
If there's anything else you want to know just ask and please give me an honest answer! Thanks so much!</p>

<p>Your test scores are too low for every school on here. Bring your scores up to around 1900 and you will have a solid chance at most of the schools here.</p>

<p>Hi, Thanks for the quick response! Yes i am going to try to get them up to around mid 1900s maybe higher. Thanks again </p>

<p>I love your attitude! Keep up the hard work and set realistic goals and you can achieve them.
Now, as far as these programs go, you may want to go to a foundation school and transfer. A friend of mine was able to transfer from a pretty good school to an ivy after her first year.</p>

<p>Thanks! yes i had that in mind as well. I still have a lot of time to think about what i want to do, Transferring is definitely one of my best options at the moments though. </p>

<p>If anyone has any other recommendations on good schools in my reach that i left out please feel free to say them. Thanks </p>

<p>You should definitely consider Syracuse.</p>

<p>Anyone else?</p>

<p>anyone else have any info?</p>

<p>bump</p>

<p>Also how do my chances look for lehigh </p>
