Thanks for chancing, jibler. I should also add that my mother attained her Masters Degree from UMich College of Engineering. Not sure how much it helps but I figure it’s worth knowing.

Your ACT is at 75% while your GPA is below 25%. For oos, CoE would be a rather high match for you. For music instrument major, it depends heavily on the audition, so it is hard to chance for that part.

Yeah I figured I would at least let people know that I was applying to both. But like you said chancing the music part is pretty difficult without the audition.

Being from Akron, it’s going to be a little more difficult for you. It always is for kids in the Midwest. That being said, you are one of the more competitive applicants. I’d say low-mid match for you. GPA could hurt a bit. Good luck!

UMich is a high match for you. You have some great SAT/ACT scores and your ECs really show that you’re talented and love to play a wind instrument.
However, your GPA stands a little bit low. You have some math ECs and a small award, but I hope you are taken either Calc AB or BC this year. GPA is the only limiting factor but you still have a really good chance!

I took AP Calc BC last year as a junior. I’m not sure how other schools do it, but AP Calc is almost always limited to seniors at my school in Akron.

Everyone: high match seems to be the consensus here- to put that into percentage terms, what exactly does that mean?
