I'm unsure whether to apply to Brown ED or take a chance and apply EA to Yale. I'm satisfied with going to the state school only if I can get a large scholarship.

Good numbers, passion for music, solid ECs otherwise

Georgetown - Match
Brown (ED) - Mid-Reach
Swarthmore (legacy) - High Match/Match
Cornell - High Match
Dartmouth - High Match

You’re applying to great schools, but try to add some safeties to the list

Oh, and chance me ?

Thanks! My safety would probably be the state school.

Your doing well definitely take the EA on Yale. The music really impresses me. I think you have a fair chance at Brown and Cornell. Georgetowns a reach easily. Dartmouth is maybe mid-high reach. Good luck!!!

Are you considering running for any leadership positions in clubs? That might help you more, but I’m envious of your stats :P

You have nice GPA and scores, and you are obviously very serious about music. Make sure you emphisize that, because besides your music stuff your ECs are pretty limited.

That said:
Georgetown- High match
Brown (ED)- Reach (possible though)
Swarthmore (legacy)- Match if you’re essays are good
Cornell- High match
Dartmouth- Low reach

Good luck You got dis

Very good chance, especially if you ED at Brown(The ED pool however is usually more self-selecting), same goes with all the others. Good Luck

Thanks. I’m worried about my GPA being lower than many of my peers but I’m guessing since I’m in the range, they’ll all be treated similarly.

Georgetown - (highish) match
Brown (ED) - mid/high reach
Swarthmore - high match/ pretty low reach
Cornell- reach
Dartmouth- mid/high reach

At that level, you need to stand out…

Honestly, I think you have a high chance. Everything just seems solid. Your SAT score is amazing!
I love the fact you’re musically inclined. Have you thought about music schools like Berklee College?

Thanks! I don’t really want to pursue music as a career but I’m hoping to do it for fun in college.
