Curious... why did you post a chance thread on Harvard's forum if you don't have Harvard on your top seven?

bc i plan to visit harvard this summer and i if i like it id like to know my chances

Yeah, that's definitely some serious scholarship money.

hey, how old are you?

and, what school do you go to? i have a few friends from school now (i go to Harvard) who are from Cleveland...

yeah, and with those stats you are a shoo-in at OSU. are you planning on playing football with them? if so, you are definitely guarenteed admission with money.

National Merit Semi-finalists who designate OSU as #1 by March 1st usually receive full instate tuition plus $4000/year.

The Maximus is the main merit scholarship competition. Last year's qualifying ACT was 32 with top 3% class rank. That gets you $2800. From there you attend a writing competition -- last year there were 900 students who did that. 70 will receive the Medalist (full instate tuition) and 10 (who filled out a supplementary application and interviewed) will receive the Presidential which is instate tuition, room/board, books.

For out of state merit students, there are 2 "automatic" scholarships, the Buckeye and the Buckeye Plus. I don't have the cut off numbers for those but I do know the Buckeye Plus is $6600/year.
