How is it that you can expect this when your GPAs for the other three years have been in the mid to high 3 range? Be realistic. A 3.7 GPA won't really hurt you as long as you're challenging yourself. As and Bs are fine.

Get it up to the 1400 level at least. After you've scored 700 or higher in each section, alot of other things come into play. 2200+ is a safe score.

What about SAT IIs?

I think your ECs are fine, but organize them. You won't be able to put all of them on the application.

I don't know about this essay. It may seem as though you're making the readers feel sorry for you.

i never considered that about the essay; thats not the emotion im trying to cast by writing it. I just chose it becuase of its change it caused in me. *****. Im back to square 1. lol

Which EC's do you think i shuold remove/keep on my app?

I predict my scores based on my teachers and what i've done in there previous classes and similar classes. Plus, im going to force myself to give up on my life for the first semester to ensure i have those scores. I havent really tried my hardest in the past. Stupid decisions, but i learn.

Grades and scores are too low for admission without stellar ECs. 5k in revenue is fairly impressive, but besides that, there's nothing.

i didnt think so. my lax coach went there and is close witht the admissions board. im hoping he'll be able to help in some way

i think you should focus on your xbox business... maybe write an essay on it since that's like the most unique thing you've got

o0thebaron0o: I think you're looking for a you-have-a-chance response, and I hope that you can respect other people's input even if they are disappointing.

-
Your GPA is fine as long as your rank or percentile is good.

I don't think your essay topic is a good idea. Again, that's MY opinion.

I recommend you to write your circumstances on another piece of paper and attach it to your application.

well my xbox business was started during the pregnancy. should i focus my essay on that in a sense of how it taught me to manage my time as well as be productive during the time i had to help my mother. should i even include my mother info or should i just add that info to the special circumstances section?

I also failed to mention that i started a club to be open in my senior year that will raise money to donate computers and electronics to needy kids and adults here in miami, or mainly, in 3rd world country. im the founder/president and was going to donate the 5000 i made from my xbox business to it. Would this help my cahces at all?

This would also possibly be my new essay topic
