<p>I definitely think you have a chance. If there were some way of contrasting your experience in an inner-city public school with the one that you’re attending now, perhaps in an essay, I’d try to work that in.</p>

<p>Also, I went to the UVA young writer’s workshop too! Was Eric Kocher a counselor when you went there? He’s the sexy ukulele playing man who was one of the poetry teachers.</p>

<p>your ‘other things about me’ is very similar to me! my dad’s from lebanon and i also had some issues freshman year. everything looks great; i can’t see a reason why they wouldn’t take you. but then again, there are a lot of people like that so you’ve really got to find a way to make yourself stand out (as everyone says)!
