Am certain I will have great recommendations and essays.

Any help on how I can improve my chances, or other colleges that I could get into would be great!

you might want to move this to the what are my chances thread. You'll probably get some replies there.

On EA, this could be a low reach or reach. Your EC's look good, as does your ranks. I'm a little concerned about your class rank, but I'm sure other things would make up for it.

NYU might be a good option: big city, about parallel rep, etc.

Just apply, you have succeeded taking rigorous courses and that is where Chicago starts when they evaluate applicants.

You've taken a strong course load and have quality EC's. Make sure your essays are top notch and you'll be within reach.

As others have stated, the bulk of your decision will come from your essays, so be sure to work on those meticulously.

Where in NC are you from? I am an NC student going to the University of Chicago in the fall as an entering freshman; if you have any questions or want me to look over your essays, shoot me a PM.

did you do jsa this past summer? which one?
