Essays: Should be good
LOR: should be good

wait, how many times have you taken the SATs?

because if you've only taken it once, i would highly suggest taking it a second or third time. with a little effort a 2050 can be bumped up to a 2200 or 2250.

UChicago does not have ED. It only has EA, which is non-binding.

can you hype up this volunteering helping out mentally disabled children? i mean why is it important to you, do you still do it, how can you continue this but in a new an intriguing way this summer and early next year? has your work been published in a newspaper article?

regarding your ngo internship, do you have a recommendation from this internship you can get?

you definitely have potential for chicago. i mean stellar grades/rank/and great ACT score. so you don't have to worry about the marks portion of your application. but i would really try working on creating or developing some sort of passion or interest, because i can't really tell what you're passionate about from the list you provided.

you've played basketball, which is great, but it won't stand out unless you're really good. and key club, while i'm involved in it too, i hate to lie--it's pretty common across the country. it's never anything fresh for college readers to see on an application.

instead of just putting key club president on your application, focus on developing and describing the different service projects you've done. I even have a friend who created a service project book, which had photographs and descriptions of the service work she did. service was what she was extremeley passionate about, so she sent it to the colleges.

good luck to you! you definitely have a great shot, just keep working at creating a holistic application. =]

There is no need to send the SAT, Chicago is fine with the ACT.
