chances at Big Ten Schools (mostly)

What are my chances of getting into these schools?

Indiana University-Bloomington
University of South Carolina
University of Minnesota
Ohio University
University of Wisconsin (reach)
University of Delaware
Marquette University
Beloit (WI) College

Salisbury (MD) University

Here are my stats/resume:

3.11 Unweighted GPA
3.50 Weighted GPA
1460 SAT -with writing (Still waiting on the 10/6 scores though)

-DECA (have been in DECA since junior year, will be attending a conference this fall)

I am taking AP Euro and AP Psych this year. I have also taken an average of three honors classes per year. I am a caucasian jew. As you probably can see, I am really interested in the sports management field. I live in Maryland and I want to live in the Midwest. I am applying regular decision to all of these schools. However, I am applying to all of them by December 15th. PLEASE let me know my status for these schools. Thank you.

If that SAT score is out of 1600, you have about a 50% chance at getting into Wisconsin. I am getting this straight from their information sheet I received when I went toured there. Your chances at any other college on that list are probably better than 50%. Again, if your SAT is out of 1600, it's very impressive and you should have no problems getting into most of those places.

I think you can make Indiana.

It says WITH writing in which case:

Indiana University-Bloomington
University of Minnesota
University of Wisconsin (reach)
Denison (OH) University

Forget those.

Thanks. Anyone else?

I just got my SAT scores today. Here are all of my scores.

October 2007 SAT:
500 Reading
510 Math
560 Writing, 7 on essay
Total out of 2400 is 1570
Total out of 1600 is 1010

March 2007 SAT:
460 Reading
470 Writing, 6 on essay
530 Math
Total out of 2400 is 1460
Total out of 1600 is 990

Indiana looks at the highest score of all tests. Because of this, my SAT score for Indiana would be a 1590 (500 R, 530 M, and 560 W).

Also, please let me know if you think that I should take the December SAT.

I got WL at Indiana with higher gpa and SATs

bump.......

bump......

I forgot to post my senior year schedule:

Honors English 12
AP European History
Honors Latin 4
Physics
AP Psychology
Business Internship (Double Period) -Athletes For Hope
Business Internship (Double Period) -Athletes For Hope

Another thing that I forgot to mention is that I have 354 hours of community service.

UW only looks at unweighted, academic GPA. The average unweighted GPA is a 3.7. That combined with your SAT scores AND the fact that you're out-of-state...it doesn't seem likely. At all.

Minnesota, Denison, and Marquette would probably be significant reaches too. The SAT averages are pretty high at all three.

Your best bets look like Ohio, Delaware, South Carolina, and Salisbury. What I would do is apply to those four, and maybe Indiana. Then add similar schools with lower averages. Try Kansas and Grand Valley State.

thanks, bump

bump *****

bump. please reply.....
