Chances at Columbia ED with strong SAT, weak class rank?

I'm a Russian (citizen; US legal resident) white male. My stats:

SAT: 800v, 760m
SAT II: Lit 800, World History 800, Writing 720 (looking at my score sheet, I think they mistakenly marked me as having skipped 10 or so questions)

GPA: 3.7, top 16% (that's where the mediocre comes in).

Pretty excellent recs.

I'm taking two classes for credit at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee right now.

Feedback on my essay says it's good, but this sort of thing isn't objective at all, of course.

ECs:
Theatre (4 y, master electrician [head of light crew])
The Players student theatre organization
Newspaper (4y, editor of National/World news, going to be inducted into Quill & Scroll in spring; our paper's won a whole lot of top awards, including Columbia ones)
Student Play Festival (2y, director)
lots of minor ones

Jobs: tutored Russian for a semester, now work as a library aide at Medical College of Wisconsin

I play bass and do freelance web design.

Anyone want to comment on my chances at Columbia?

(this is crossposted from Columbia discussion)

tough call 50/50 maybe

Looks quite solid to me. Good luck. What's your prospective major?

Definitely History, and I'm looking at double majoring in philosophy or critical theory.
