You know what's going on if you read the title. I will chance back. Any input is greatly appreciated.
GPA: 3.71 unweighted, 90% in my class, had awful sophomore slump.

Classes: 11 AP classes taken so far and one Post-AP Chemical Engineering class.

Scores: 740 R, 800 M, 720 W, GT is the only one that superscores, the other two take 1600, which unsuperscored is 1510 (710 R, 800 M)

Extracurriculars: Vice President of MUN and won oustanding delegation last year. Leadership club for past three years and got a service letter last year. Not a huge amount of volunteer hours :/
I played hockey freshman and sophomore year, was captain sophomore year. Have played rugby for the past two years, state champions both time. played summer rugby for Team Georgia between sophomore and junior year.

Job/Work Experience:
One internship with one of my teachers, did it over the summer between Sophomore and Junior year. Presented the research at a symposium held for high school because it was STEM certified.
Another internship this summer doing research at GT, very prestigious program and learned a lot. May submit research for Siemens competition. Research will be published in next few weeks.

Anyways im apply to Carnegie Mellon, Georgia Tech, and Cornell. Any input would be great. Sorry for the bad grammar and typos and everything. This was rushed.

my SATII are 800 Math 2, 720 Physics

I think you’re set for CMU and GT (GT: Safety, CMU: Low Match) and Cornell will be a Low Reach/High Match (it’s an ivy, you never know…) Your scores are fantastic, and your ECs are also amazing… Just be hopeful that they will look past your sophomore year (I’m in the same boat as you there, but mine brought my GPA down way more).

Chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1531519-vandy-ed.html#post16197526

As for Carnegie and GT, I’m positive that you will be fine. Your SAT and SAT subject tests are very well done, they’re not all 800’s but you have to consider that you are part of the top 3-5% within the country and that will be considered among admission officers. The part that I would expand upon more is your EC’s and awards. I see that among your EC’s that you have succeeded more in rugby than your others which is fantastic, it is very noticeable so I would probably expand upon it in one of your admission essays, however I would like to see more EC’s not relating to sports whether it be student goverment, debate, something that gives you more a of a leadership and academic extracurricular. I would focus on your community service as well, I think that Cornell would want to someone who is really involved in the community, someone who they know is not afraid to take on the role of leadership and help others. As long as you aim for more than 75 hours, which I’m sure that you can do, then I would, also make sure that you try to show a main focus for the community service whether it be a hospital, children’s shelter, etc. As for awards, that is partly out of your control, but anything that you may receive that may not seem like a big deal include it! What may seem insignificant can bump your status within applicants because it shows that you are being recognized for your academic success and EC success. Your GPA is good but I would try to either bump it up or keep it at where it is, don’t let it go down! Another thins is your essays and recommendations. Just make sure your essays are phenomenal and talk about who you are, have them edited a great deal but not to the point where you lose your voice and don’t have fellow kids critique them, they know just as much as you, get accredited teachers or parents to help you out. Also, I can’t stress it enough, if you don’t have a well known relationship with your counselor start it now. I can’t tell you how many times kids have had a wonderful application but their counselor didn’t know them enough to write a great recommendation and their chances at ivy’s went down the drain. If you don’t know how to start one, stop in her office every month or so to talk about your grades, your hopes (if you would like to confide in her, don’t have to), and your aspirations of going to a higher college, start talking about your passions, soon enough she’ll have tons of marvelous things to say about you. Good luck! And don’t give up hope, no one, not even me can tell you what your chances are, there are people accepted to Harvard with 1900’s and those who get rejected with 2380’s, just know that you have a chance and to keep moving forward! I wish you the best on your admission process :)

solid SAt and your Ec are great and u demonstrate leadership qualities…gpa is slightly low but nonetheless u have taken numerous AP courses and i think it will turn out in your favor
CMU and GTech: match
cornell: low reach (apply ED and i would say u have a solid match)

chance back!
