I will be starting an IB student organization, which I will be noted as founder and president.

*-denotes highly probable best case scenarios..

BTW, that GPA is what is seen on my transcript, yes it has weighting, but our unweighted averages are not given to my college as per my counselor.

I have major upward trend.

I was also a Quality Assurance Assistant at a OTC Pharmaceutical company this past summer, if that means anything...

BUMP, I will be an NHS member aswell. Perhaps an officer if one of my other probable officer positions doesn't work out.

Also I'm involved in a project to provide spanish science materials to people in the Galapagos Islands.

Please someone chance me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I'd say you have a good chance.

Thanks for the response bro, is there anything lacking here?

I'm in Spanish Honors Society as well. and if one of my other officer positions don't work out, I'll have this.

I'm sorry to tell you that the Georgetown Dean of Admissions has stated that he believes AP classes to be more rigorous than IB. That isn't to say your application won't be competitive, but you're going to need to do your best on the SAT when you take it and really convey passion in your ecs. Personally, I think you look like a fairly strong applicant. Good luck!

Thanks bro, and trust me I would have taken AP, but unfortunately AP courses aren't offered at my school. Does this fact help me with G-Town?

Also, I plan on intending G-Town's summer program, will this help me?

Also what schools would you say are in my range? Like maybe a Cornell or something. Or perhaps a Duke?

efsdfsdfsdfsdfsd
sdfsdfsdfsdfsdf

^^^What?

Anyone else have some criticism?

While were talking bout georgetown, how much does legacy effect your application? One of my friends have several relatives who went there and is applying

Actually, I'd be surprised if you didn't get in. Make sure to show that you're passionate / write great essays.

Thank you for your kind words. Your advice is duly noted.

I'm gonna say your in. Only thing lacking is sports.

vilma- chilll a bit kid, i'm all for these chances threads to try to give people some confidence or just tell them where they stand but seriously just remember that these people leaving you comments don't know if you're going to get in. you seem to be taking whatever they say as truth and i really don't think "duly noting" their advice is going to do anythingg to help you get in.

hah sorry i had a bad day today

lol, um thanks?

You don't know what I'm thinking. I made this thread to see where I stand. Me taking his advice will certainly help me get into college, I would think by writing passionate, I will have a better chance at getting into college, don't ya think?

Would schools like Duke, NYU (stern) be in my range as well.

i think that ur pretty much in with ur stats, i'm not familiar with NYU Stern but if u get into Georgetown, then u'll probably get into Duke as well, i know one person who got in with high scores and good stats (around ur range) who wrote a not-so-great essay

Excellent stats and good ECs. Why wouldn't you get in? It's always unpredictable though!
