Chances at Honors College? (Also, do I have a shot at Horseshoe/McNair?)

Super stressed with the first HC decisions coming out. I’m hoping I hear back soon.

Admitted to USC with “at least” OOS tuition waived.

OOS (MA) Hispanic Male. National Hispanic Recognition Scholar.

uwGPA: 3.71 (likely skewed because I go to a private high school with mandatory religion classes each year)

USC wGPA: 4.61
I estimated my USC wGPA based on info I could glean from their site and some phone calls. Could be a bit higher.

All Honors and AP courses. 9 APs overall.

34 ACT

I think my essays were good. The two letters of recommendation should be quite good. I’m not allowed to read them but the teachers liked me and knew me pretty well.

At school: Varsity Swim/Dive. 2 year Captain. President of French Club.

I believe my external ECs are somewhat significantly above average and I have many volunteer service hours.

You have an excellent shot at HC. Competition is extremely strong for Horseshoe/McNair, and even those with “perfect” stats may not get an invite. You already have the greatest prize, OOS tuition waived. Focus on that. Anything else is a bonus and icing on the cake.
