No student can safely be considered a “match”, at any level for colleges that accept less than 10% of its applicants.

For every student, even those getting 2400s and 2300s and perfect or near perfect grades, an IVY school should be considered a reach. Always.

I think you absolutely have a chance at these schools, but with schools of these caliber, nothing is a sure thing. However, with schools like UMich and UT-Austin, you should get in so long as your essays and recs are good.

People who are obsessed with prestige never get in

I take the BusinessWeek undergraduate business school rankings pretty seriously. It’s kind of obvious that there is a correlation between prestige and program rank.

^ That’s good, but I hope you’re considering other factors than just some rankings.

I’ve also visited a few campuses of the schools I like (Penn, Columbia, Notre Dame, UT, and NWU). I want to go to a large school with a highly acclaimed undergrad business program that has good internship opportunities. I loved NYU, but I don’t think I can afford it :/

I should have mentioned this but I’ve been at upward slope since 9th grade. I had a 3.71 in 9th, 3.81 in 10th(All A’s except Spanish) and a 3.83 during Junior year (All As except AP Bio).
