<p>You do qualify for all these schools disregarding their low acceptance rate. You should be admitted by at least a couple of them. Just make sure you add a safety to the list.</p>

<p>Great SAT/ACT scores, but where are the SAT IIs? Last time I checked, they were all required and without them, you’re not going to be admitted. I’m guessing you just forgot them.</p>
<p>Your ECs are definitely strong but they seem kinda scattered (unless you’re going into International Relations?). What major do you intend to go into? Additionally, try and do something unique Senior Year with one or two of your ECs and try not to expand any further. Nice one on the chess and volunteer hours, by the way! </p>
<p>I don’t think Valedictorian will influence you much, but the GPA you got with it will. Good job on that! </p>
<p>Kind disappointed by the above posters regarding being “good” for HYPSM - there is never any guarantee, and unfortunately, everyone’s a reach! The only difference between you and another applicant is how much of a reach you are. The only parting comment I could say is that you have a shot, certainly, but as mentioned above, it’s a tough shot! Do well on your essays and you just might make it!</p>
<p>Well like you said, it would be great if you showed some more passion through music. You’re stats are all amazing, but doing that should improve your chances. I think you are a very strong applicant to any of those schools except maybe the tech schools. I can see you getting into one or two of HYPS.</p>
