Chances at MIT/Stanford?

Hi there! I’m a current junior and was wondering what my chances were of getting into MIT/Stanford. I’m an Asian female interested in pursuing nanotechnology/chemical engineering/physics. I go to a really competitive magnet school focused on STEM
GPA (W): 4.4 (no class rank although average gpa here is 4.2)
Extra-Curriculars:

  • Underwater ROV Team Lead Engineer
  • Literary Magazine Staff Member
  • Won Local+National Competitions for Poetry+Prose
  • Nationally-competitive Fencer
  • President of Nanotechnology Club (which I founded)
  • Engineering Subdivision Team Leader for satellite project (school is planning on building a sattelite and launching it into orbit with the help of NASA)
  • INTEL STS Semifinalist
  • Siemens semifinalist
  • Physics Team Captain
  • Founded a STEM organization striving to get more girls involved in physics
  • Hosts Nanotech workshops for underprivileged middle-schoolers around county (apart of aforementioned organiztion)
  • Interned @ John Hopkins, related to nanotech
  • Interned with theoretical physicist at local college
  • Attended various nanotech and physics conferences, presented my own research at several

Thank you so much!

How are you an intel sts semifinalist?

Wondering the same thing. Also, are you recruitable for fencing?

Ask your school counselor this; his/her response will be more accurate.

I noticed your user name is ivyhopeful- are you no longer interested in the ivies? Because your fencing could be a major hook at an ivy (no fencing scholarship as they don’t offer athletic scholarships but they do offer need-based aid)…

I still don’t understand how you are an Intel STS Semifinalist…

Test scores?

And it’s now Regeneron STS, not Intel STS…and only seniors are qualified as AznDude525 mentioned. OP should be careful here not to make up stuff as adcoms can easily check stuff.

Also, what is your unweighted GPA?
