Chances at Northeastern & Others

I'm white, from an upper-middle class family, live in Colorado, and go to what is considered a private school. However, my school is technically an alternative high school where maybe one student a year goes to CU Boulder, five go to community colleges, and the other ten go to a technical school/straight to the workforce. The last time anyone went out of state for college was three years ago - how's that going to effect me, if it even does, at all of the out of state universities I'm applying to?

ACADEMICS
- school doesn't weigh or rank
- GPA: 3.6 unweighted
- SATs: 760cr/540m Dec '03 (old test); 740cr/660m/620w Nov '05 (will probably retake)
- SAT IIs: Lit 710; USH 560 (definitely will retake US Hist); planning on taking Biology and World History
- ACT: 33
- school doesn't offer any APs, and only offers honors in English classes. Will have taken two years of honors English classes, one year of honors biology (before switching schools)
- may independently study and take AP Human Geography, AP U.S. Government, and AP Psychology

EXTRACURRICULARS
- rugby, grades 10-12
- police explorers, grades 11-12
- Japanese Club, grades 9-10
- HHART (Homosexual and Heterosexual Alliance Reaching for Tolerance), grades 10-11, treasurer grade 11
- Teen VOICE (teen library advisory board), grades 9-11
- literary magazine, grades 11-12, editor in chief grade 12
- softball, grade 12
- note: school doesn't offer any extracurriculars other than literary magazine; everything else I do is with other schools/not school affiliated

OTHER
- I can expect beautiful glowing recommendations from everyone up to and including my principal
- assume I wrote a brilliant essay, as well
- I plan to major in sociology or a related field, probably with pre-law

COLLEGES
- Northeastern University
- Dartmouth College (I know I'm not getting in, but I have to at least try)
- University of Pennsylvania (see Dartmouth's note)
- George Washington University
- Penn State - University Park
- University of Maryland - College Park
- American University
- Fordham University
- University of Colorado - Boulder (pretty sure this is a safety, but what the heck)

What do you think?

For American and George Washington, you are a shoo-in. Don't know about the rest though.
