Chances at Pepp

Alright, here this goes.

Sex: male
Location: Oregon

GPA: 4.0 (unweighted)
SAT: 2350 (800 verbal, 750 math, 800 writing)

Freshman Year: attended Blacksburg High School (ranked #164 or so) in Blacksburg, VA. Took 7 courses, received high-As (no grade system for A+'s) in each class. Classes were above regular-level, but slightly below honors.

Sophomore Year: Family moved to Modesto, California right during the beginning of the school year. Due to that move (which took until October), I had to take courses through Brigham Young University: Independent Study. Retained my 4.0. Generally, 95% required for an A...40-50% of the grade deteremined on midterms/finals. Grading is done by BYU, tests are proctored by specialists.

Junior Year: Moved again to Salem, Oregon. Still "self-schooled" through BYU. Still have a 4.0. Bad thing about BYU: only one difficulty of course available. So I've taken the most difficult courses available, but alas. There aren't many to choose from. Self-schooling, though, is still far more difficult and requires more responsibility and motivation than my freshman year, by far.

Senior Year: Taking 5 or 6 University-level courses through BYU this year. Expect to retain my 4.0.

ECs:
Virginia Tech Paintball club... in charge of updating website, as a freshman in high school. Remained active in the sport, in various clubs from Virginia, to California, to Oregon, 2003-2006.

member of Willamette Valley Roadrunners (running club) (2006)

member of Columbia River Orienteering Club (self-explanatory) (2006)

joining the local Search-and-Rescue team this September, which requires a 200-hour + involvement.

Teaching myself Arabic this year.

ECs have been fairly difficult to do, given my constant moving and self-schooling.

Community Service:

Platform Operator of a communty-run Carousel ( 60 hours, continue to volunteer with them)

Food sorting and truck delivery at a food share (around 20 hours, still volunteer with them though)

Yard work at a homeless shelter (around 10 hours)

Other Facts:

Attended a private Catholic school from 3rd-6th grade. Involved there with chapel activities and performing mass. I was accepted to both the (competitive) middle school and high school, but did not attend (moved). Current school (BYU) is religiously affiliated.

Played basketball on the from 4th-7th grade. Stopped playing when I switched schools.

Three years of Spanish.

Worked on three game "mods" doing 3d/2d art, textures, and voice-acting. None were officially released, unfortunately.

Very interested in the military and foreign affairs, want to major in history. Hope to join the Army after college.

you won't have a problem, my friend, as long as you take your time on the application and don't give them a reason to deny you. your scores are solid, and you will be in the running for some serious scholarships.
