Chances at Princeton?

Here's Bush's stats...

2.5 GPA (I think)
SAT I- 1210
IQ: 92

Lol...That's pretty bad for being president...

I doubt he could get in today.

Let's post our stats in relation to his.

GPA: 4.2 (1.7 higher than Bush)
SAT: Haven't taken the real one but practice 1510 on SAT out of 1600. 300 points above Bush.
IQ: 165-175 according to those internet IQ tests from the real writer, parents agree that's about what it was when I took the written one, but they won't tell me exactly what my IQ was. 73-83 points above the president.

Difference between Bush and I. My parents are upper middle class, his were upper upper class. His dad ran the country, mine runs most of a computer company.

forget it. you got a D man.

Yes, I'm even afraid of getting too many B's sometimes. If I got a D I think I'd have a heart attack. So, it probably won't get you into Princeton though. Not the end of the world of course.

It probably is to him Tex.........and it would be to me! (getting rejected from any ivy i dont care ur stats still makes you feel bad)

I'm not as obsessed as others on the board, I know that if I don't get into Princeton I will be just fine. Working toward P just means I will have excellant chances at other schools.

Anyway, dont derail my thread with Bush(don't get me wrong, I hate him as much as the next hardcore liberal democrat;)), do help me decide how much worth the cmu program is, and it's selectivity.

Same here. I wanna go to a really good college and all, but if I get into a top tier state school or something like that it's fine.

i was just kidding im probably not even applying to princeton i hear they are the hardest ivy now

Really I've been hearing it was Yale these days. 9.8% acceptance rate. What is it for princeton, I thought it was like 10.

d in chem doesnt mean anything, i know people who went in with less than 3.0 gpa because of their connections (legacy) with the university...your straight .

your SAT is on par, just keep up your grades, and make sure you have that upward slope. Concentrate on good four essays/recs, and your in. Keep that positive attitude also, dont let bad grades in prior classes affect how you work on current classes.

hyp, I dont know the selectivity of the cmu program, or the requirements. If you're interested in ECE cmu's one of the best for that, so odds are if they offer intro ece courses in the summer you might really enjoy that. You could do a search for summer programs on cc and find comments. I'd apply early if you are serious about it.

texasmathwiz, the 92 IQ doesn't match a 1210; I think the IQ is above 100 but not by much.

Princeton: 10.8%
Harvard:10.5%
Yale: 13%

IQ's don't have to match SAT scores. Look them both up on Google or something. Bush's IQ, then Bush's SAT. I wouldn't lie. That is completely irrelevant.

Yeah Bush may have studied.....Im sure not all 800/800 kids are the smartest in the world...y does everyone bag on Bush hes a better choice than Kerry!

sorry to continue on this tangent, but if you read this page
http://www.insidepolitics.org/heard/heard32300.html

they list bush and gores SAT scores. Bush is listed as a 1206...this is a .org site, meaning they should have reliabe data. Was there a point when you could get none 10 interval scores?

benndaman yes in the past SAT was not on a 10 interval scale

a 1206 does not make anyone an idiot give me their IQ test scores and then we'll see

Bush's IQ is 92, his dad's was 100 or something.

Clinton according to IQ tests, is the smartest president, with a score of 182.
