Chances at Princeton?

that whole bush IQ score isn't true. Read that link.

His IQ is 92, I'm serious.

Don't mean to be mean, but take the Bush crap to a different thread (make one?)/

Whatever it is, it's not 160. I know 160, and he's not that.

There's the guy with the D in Chemistry.

"There's the guy with the D in Chemistry."
What are you getting at, Texasmathwhiz?

Texas, please refrain from posting in this thread if you have nothing more constructive to add, I've heard your opinion, there is no need to reiterate it in an insulting matter.

Lastly, PLEASE take the Bush talk out of my thread. Simply use the "new thread" button (if you need help finding the button please ask). Bush in not smart, it doesn't take a genius to deduce this.

hyp2010, How do you start researching at a college? Do you contact the professors there, or is it part of a summer program

Contact. I know people at both schools, but find an email/mail of a professor in the field you wish to reasearch and inquire about a summer oppertunity.

Forget Princeton its out of your league as far as academic achievement. I instead, would like to see you focus on some state/ community schools. These kinds of colleges would better suit you, I think so at least. If your grades werent so embarrasing then i would say your in at Princeton, but unfortunately this is not the case. Also, i wouldnt qualify three lines of EC's as excellent. You might want to take a look at some two year schools and then reapply to princeton after graduation. Good Luck :-)!

I don't mean to be rude, but 1 D and 2 Bs is not embarassing. I have taken all honors and AP courses, and I have maintained a 5.0 average for this entire year, and expect to do the same next year.

And yes, starting 2 clubs, and being an officier (and president) of all 3 for four years is impressive. Winning national awards and science competitions including nation science olympiad and JETS is excellent. Your ECs are NOT good, mine are.

Your suggestion that a 4.5gpa (5.0 last two years) and a 1460sat is only good for 2 year, state, and community schools shows your ignorance. Not Princeton does not mean 3/4 tier schools. Get a grip.

hyp2010: Getting a D will hurt you, but that does not mean you don't have a great shot at Princeton. I think it's a slight reach for you. Good luck.

hyp: you need to take a total chill pill. I was only jokin around about the 2 year school thing umm adahh and by the way i never said my ec's were good. Oh my god i feel like such a loser on this website..and your a junior membor..so wat does that make you. Well anyways im sorry if i offended you but you didnt have to go and get your pantys all up in a bunch. Ttyl!

REEEEEEE-TAAAKKKEEEE THUH DEEEEEEEEEEE in private study....yoo kin doo eeet!

I dont know what you mean by private study, but you can't retake courses here (and erase the old grade). I will be taking AP chem at Carnegie Mellon Pre-College over the summer, or I will self study ap chem over the summer and throughout the school year.

Aces, you post over 10 times as often as I do.

How do some people get in college courses before college. I was thinking of going to the local UT or SMU and maybe enrolling in a summer class if they'd allow it.

I'm also doing this Brown University summer medical class that I was invited to.

At carnegie there's a program called pre-college where highschool sophs/juniors take college courses during the summer at the university. You apply during the year (feb-june) and attend the program that summer.

I know there are similar pre-college programs all over the country.

But what about an actual class. Go to harvard.edu and look at the application and it asks about any college courses taken and grades received. I want to have something to fill in for that and I'm also interested in getting some early higher education so it can help me in high school.

After its early decision admissions, Princeton has 15,700 applications for less than 600 postions.

Hyp, don't take this totally negative, but I really don't think Princeton will work. I don't even think I can get in, and I've never made lower than a B in my life and I've made for more A's.

" I've never made lower than a B in my life and I've made for more A's." Interesting word use there lol.

Yes, at pre-college you take 2 or 3 AP courses(or not AP sometimes) for HS or college credit.
