Will Stanford look favorably toward the trend or unfavorably?
Class Rank: 12% 9-12, I won't have a rank for my 10-12, but it'd be in the top 5% at least

SCEA or wait for better GPA? I'm definitely putting Political Science as my projected major...

Reccs and Essays will be very good (I've wanted to go here since I was freaking five... I'm fully confident about them [Stanford's supplemental essays are finished {almost}])

I don't think anything jumps out at a person reading this saying you should be definately in, but on the other hand I don't think any thing single-handedly should disqualify you either.

I don't know, are you interested in politics? Is it a true passion of yours that you have invested a lot of time in throughout high school or just something you think you might enjoy and that you think admissions people will like? If you do decide to write about "politics", you'll need to narrow it down quite a bit. I think focusing some of your supplemental stuff on experiences you've had that have affected you that fall within the realm of politics wouldn't be a bad thing, but you're walking on potentially thin ice when you try and discern a theme of your application and then make sure your essay focuses around that, rather than basing your essay on hard and firm experience.

So, bearing all that in mind, what would be the specific 'political' experiences of your essays?

Bump...
Wouldn't my chances at Stanford be higher because of the 10-12 GPA (in turn raising my class rank substantially?) I know Stanford won't see the class rank for the 10-12 grades that they take into consideration instead, but if they would throw out an entire year, wouldn't it be logical to throw out an entire year on your rank? Disagree?
