<p>so what are my chances at stonybrook?
I'm gonna be a senior and my junior GPA was 93 and my june SAT score was 1070(math+verbal)..im definitely planning to take it again...any chance i would get in?...also does anybody know a good business school in the new york area, besides baruch...i know stony is not known for it but yeah..please reply!</p>
<p>i know someone who's just gotten into stony. i think your gpa is perfect for the school. your sat needs work. but if you can work some major improvements and bump that up at least [emphasis on at least] 700 points {combined math writing verbal} then you'd be in really good shape. if you get 55+ on verbal and math then you'll be in real good shape too. Since its a suny, i highly recommend getting the advanced regents diploma. it gives them less reason to find an excuse not to accept you. baruch is a bad horrible school now. It was really good like back in the days. my father went there. now its like... EHHHH. a good business school would be NYU its ranked #2 in the nation for investment management. if you want to go all the way, i would recommend cooper union above nyu. they offer a full scholarship regardless of financial need if you get in. but its ultra competitive. i believe cooper union is on 14th st. so its much closer than stonybrook. good luck.</p>
<p>ooo okay! thanks!...advanced regents diploma is the 2 science, 2 math, 1 english, 1 LOTE, 2 history right? if so, then i think i will have that! Yeah im definitely gonna try to bump my SAT score...</p>
<p>as for SAT II, i know stony requires one math and one of your choice, i havent taken SAT II's yet but i was wondering what is a good test prep book to study for the SAT II's. </p>
<p>Also, as for the major, i am looking at business, but computer science also has my appeal..im not too sure on what i want to do yet! But if anyone can help with that, i would appreciate it very much!! thanks a bunch!</p>

<p>Baruch College is an excellent school, it's just that it does not recieve the recognition it deserves. In NYC the school is very acclaimed and very well known. If i were to study business , then I would attend Baruch.</p>

<p>I was watching Montel Williams today, and they had this girl on who was 17, and when she was 10 she started attended Stonybrook. Now she's working on her phd.</p>
