Chances at Tepper (high GPA, low sat)

<p>White male from Southeast PA
Looking at CMU, Bentley, PSU, UMD, Northeastern, Babson
Test scores:
SAT – 1910 (CR600, M690, W640) (retake in early fall)</p>

<p>Will take before I apply to college this fall:
SAT Math IIC – probably low 700s (June)
SAT German - probably high 600s (June)
SAT US History - probably 700s (June)
AP English Language – probably 4 or 5
AP US History - probably 4 or 5</p>

<p>Next Year Schedule:
AP German 5, AP Gov't, AP Stat, AP Lit, AP Econ, Honors Physics</p>

<p>4.0 GPA (our weights are weird but 6.0 weighted)
Rank: 1/1092 *shared with few others</p>

<p>I know my SAT is low but hoping my rank and gpa will make up for it. any other school recommendations appreciated as well</p>

<p>Honestly, no one can tell you for sure. Here is a story that isn't right on point,but there is some analogy:</p>

<p>My friend's son graduated number 3 at the University of Maryland Scholars program with a 3.95. He took the LSAT and got 150,which is very mediocre for even good law schools, nevermind the top schools. His scores would be akin to your SATs, percentage wise. He only got into the University of Maryland ( probably because they can't refuse to take one of their own top kids) and some tier 3 law schools. Not one top school accepted him. </p>

<p>Again, no one will be able to give you a difinitive answer.</p>

<p>PS: He was in the top 15% of his class after his first year and maybe even a bit higher ranked.</p>
