You’ve got a great set of scores and academia there. Plus you have some hooks being a first generation kid, having lost a parent and other things equal. The only reason i cant definetly say you have a chance at Harvard/Stanford or MIT because they are reaches to all.

Thank you friend. is there anyone else who could also help?

Come on. You’re smart enough to get a 4.0/2400 but you need THIS FORUM to tell you that Harvard/Stanford/MIT/CMUCS are among the most competative progrograms in the world and your “chances” are the same as anybody (i.e. <10%)?

I agree with soze. Harvard, Stanford, MIT, and CMU SCS have some of the lowest acceptance rates in the US, not to mention the even lower international acceptance rates. That being said, you have one of the most impressive high school applications I’ve seen on the site and I’d be a little surprised if you got rejected by all of them. Good luck, and remember to write great essays!

@soze I know they’re competitive but I wanted to see how I would stand amongst the average applicant applying to these universities. As for choosing “this forum”, I would have figured a forum title" What Are My Chances" would be the best place to ask questions like mine. @BBanks‌ thank you friend.

I predict you will get into most of these schools. Some will find a reason to reject you because that is their job however.

@theanaconda‌ Thank you friend.

Why? If you were told that you had a 5% chance of admission to Stanford or a 40% chance, what would that change? I’ll tell you, absolutly nothing.

But since you insist, I’ll spell it out for you.

The average applicant has about a 5% chance of admission to many these programs.
You’re above average, so I’ll be very generious and say that you have triple the chance of the average applicant.
You have about a 15% chance of admission any one of Harvard, Stanford, MIT, and CMU SCS.

All the others you mentioned are “likely” admits for you (meaning 50% chance or greater). Some are “highly likely” (Gtech, Purdue) meaning 80% chance or better.

why do u wanna go to these schools?

I plan on studying Computer Science @manas1997. Its more or less the career line I have opted for. @soze it does make a difference whether I have a 40% or a 5% chance.

Even though this is all fabricated, I’ll go ahead and say that these are all high reaches.

Salve, dices te Latine loqui posse, ergo Latine scripsi! Tu bonum discipulum esse videris, sed omnes hederae scholae ulli sunt “pertinentes.”

@Stanfordnextgen that is not amgood answer. jus cuz the university is number 1 in comp sci, doesnt mean u shud go. There shud be other reasons, such as the city in which the university is located, type of education, professors and what not. They want to see that u NEED to be at their school in fall

How can you be an Eagle Scout if you’re not even American? Anyways, a lot of this does seem HIGHLY fabricated.

So you’re a financier, a 3D animator, and a music prodigy. Nothing suspicious about that.

No, it doesn’t.
If you’re not smart enough to realize that, then I seriously doubt you have the scores you claim you have.

You could’ve made this more believable had you put an imperfect SAT/ACT score.
