do I have a chance?

Too early to assess your chances; need standardized test scores such as SAT I, ACT & SAT IIs plus your areas of interest.

Holy Cross and Bowdoin are SAT optional. If you actually achieve 3.8-3.9 junior year, you have a decent shot at both. Be sure to interview at Holy Cross as this shows interest and they like to see that and it does boost your chances.

Bowdoin College is SAT/ACT optional, but the applicant should have stellar credentials, legacy/donor status or be a recruited athlete; otherwise, the OP does not have even an average chance for Bowdoin at this time. Holy Cross, however, is less competitive than is Bowdoin College and, therefore, could be a good choice even without standardized test scores.

Tufts, Bowdoin, Bates, Davidson, Holy Cross, Bard, BU, Brandeis, etc.

I got into Bowdoin, Bates, Bard, and Brandeis with a 3.9 GPA and very high test scores, great recommendations, and very very strong extracurriculars, so I would say you would need to do really well on your tests.
