UCLA is gonna be very hard for you to get into with low scores . . you probably have a better chance with your other choices -- i don't know much about them though

CA resident right? If so, are you an ELC student?

UCLA and UC Berkeley- reach
UCI, UCR- probably get in, safe match
UCSD- okay
SDSU- safe match

AP scores and SATs are really hurting you. Sometimes you cannot really guess. It's hard. They're weird. You might get in, just cross your fingers.

Hope you luck nevertheless!

UCLA - Huge Reach
UCI - Match
UCR - Match
UCSD - Huge Reach
UCB - Huge Reach
SDSU - Match

Your high GPA won't be overlooked. You have a great chance at Irvine, Riverside, and SDSU.

yah......i am a California resident, and im ranked 32/751

How did you get into Physics C if you got a 1 on the Physics B exam? Isn't admittance into C dependent on your AP scores for A and B?

Then again.. maybe it's just your school's system. But - do enlighten me =).

They base it on my grade in the class not my grade on the AP test, so stop tryin to mess wid me......=( lol.......my school isn't AP oriented, the AP tests are kinda extra for ppl in IB.

Even so, the test material for the AP and IB programs are about the same. In order to get a 1 on the Physics test, I think you literally have to only get 20% of the questions correct.

How can anyone possibly do that poorly, yet still get an A or B in the class?

"How can anyone possibly do that poorly, yet still get an A or B in the class?"

Easily, the AP Physics teacher at my school doesn't even know physics. It has the lowest passing rate at our school. Something like 30% compared to 95% for everything else.

If your teacher doesn't even know physics, how would he be able to grade tests and quizzes? Wouldn't that make it even harder to get an A in the class since he can't even teach the material?

He has a key..and he sort of understands the key, so he gives tons of partial credit. It's not thaat hard to get an A, but it's not easy because we have to learn everything on our own.

are you a minority ?

I thought it didnt matter in UC admissions..? Well I might be wrong, but it sounds like your school inflates grades...and the UC's might see that. I'm just judging by your test scores. Do u think your school is easy? well i'd say ur a match for UCI and UCR is a match/safety I think all the other schools are reaches. Oh and SDSU is a match/safety as well

UCs claim that they don't count minority status, but when you have people applying through the EOP program and getting in with lower stats than regular applicants, it's not really true.
